At SmoothyEdit, we want you to be completely satisfied with our service. We offer a straightforward refund policy to ensure you can try our premium features with confidence.
Refund Eligibility
Eligible for Refund
- First-time subscribers: If you're a new subscriber and request a refund within14 days of your first payment, you're eligible for a full refund.
- Technical issues: If you experience persistent technical issues that prevent you from using the service, and we are unable to resolve them, you may be eligible for a refund.
- Billing errors: If you were charged incorrectly or experienced a billing error, we will promptly refund the incorrect charge.
Not Eligible for Refund
- After the refund period: Refund requests made after 14 days from your subscription start date or renewal date.
- Repeated refund requests: Users who have previously received a refund and re-subscribed are not eligible for additional refunds.
- Violation of terms: Accounts terminated due to violation of our Terms of Service.
- Partial month usage: We do not provide prorated refunds for partial month usage after the refund period.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Send an email to support@smoothyedit.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Include your account email address associated with your subscription
- Briefly explain the reason for your refund request (optional but helpful)
We aim to process all refund requests within 3-5 business days. Once approved, the refund will be issued to your original payment method.
Consumer Cancellation Rights
If you are a consumer, you have the statutory right to cancel your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire 14 days from the day after completion of the transaction.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (e.g., an email to support@smoothyedit.com). To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication before the 14 days period expires.
Note: The right to cancel does not apply to digital content that has been fully downloaded, streamed, or otherwise accessed if you have given prior consent to begin the download/streaming and acknowledged that you would lose your right to cancel.
Refund Processing
All payments and refunds are processed through Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all payment processing, billing, and refunds on our behalf. Once a refund is approved:
- The refund will be processed without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision to cancel
- The reimbursement will be made using the same means of payment as the initial transaction
- It may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or credit card company
- You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is processed

Cancellation vs. Refund
Cancellation and Refund are different:
- Cancellation: Stops future billing. You retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. No refund is issued.
- Refund: Returns your payment and immediately revokes access to premium features. Only available within the refund period.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. After cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
Free Tier
SmoothyEdit offers a free tier with limited features. If you're unsure about upgrading, we encourage you to use the free tier first to evaluate whether the service meets your needs before subscribing to a paid plan.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the new policy.
