Do Multicam and Captions require an account?

No. Automatic multicam switching and local captions remain free, no-account desktop tools. They work independently of Studio, Chat and AI Photos.

Are AI Photos, Chat and Studio free without an account?

They are optional cloud tools that use an account and credits. They are separate from the free local tools. Available access and credit allowances are described on the pricing page.

Are local image tools the same as cloud AI Photos?

No. Assets background removal and upscaling run on your computer after the required models are downloaded. AI Photos generates and edits images through cloud providers using an account and credits.
