Plan your next edit with Smoothy Studio
Studio is the optional cloud AI side of SmoothyEdit. Find candidate ranges, add timeline markers and get opening ideas from your transcript. You choose the moments and do the editing, reframing and export yourself.
Start with the right source
You can try basic tools with a text transcript without an account, subject to usage limits. A free account adds SRT uploads, YouTube links and saved history. Pro also supports audio uploads. Timestamped material is important when you want clip ranges or timeline markers; a plain summary cannot supply reliable source times.
From transcript to a reviewed draft
Shorts markers
Find candidate ranges and send timeline markers to Premiere. You cut, reframe and export the short.
Hook ideas
Get suggestions for opening moments and wording. You choose the hook and edit it into your video.
Generate Titles
Compare title drafts based on the content. Studio does not measure live keyword search volume or predict rankings.
Write Descriptions
Start with a summary and a call to action. Verify links, chapter times and factual claims before publishing.
Thumbnail Ideas
Pro users can generate written concepts for composition, expressions and text. Design and review the final thumbnail separately.
Free to start, Pro for the full toolkit
Studio Free includes 100 cloud AI credits every 30 days for Shorts markers, hook ideas, titles and descriptions. Studio Pro is $5 USD per month with 2,000 credits every 30 days and adds thumbnail concepts, B-roll and sound-effect planning, blog and social drafts, AI photos and reactions. See the pricing page for the plan details.
Planning tools return suggestions. SFX ideas do not provide licensed audio files, and B-roll ideas do not include stock footage. AI writing and image results need a review before you use them in client work or publish them.
Connect to Premiere when you need markers
Install SmoothyApp, open its bundled Premiere panel and sign in to Studio from the desktop app. With a matching sequence open, supported timestamp results can be sent as markers. Align the transcript and sequence start before sending. Markers guide a manual edit; they do not assemble or export a finished Short.
Studio uses cloud services and sends the material needed for the tools you choose. The desktop app's multicam, silence removal, captions, compressor and Assets tools process media locally and remain free without a Studio account.
